The Common Dark is the third poem cycle in  Endlossong, a contemporary work of poetry, which is, in part, a writing up to and through illness and death. Specifically, the demise of its author's sister, Lori, at age 35, after years of repeated hospitalization due to an eating disorder she battled for half of her life.

The Common Dark was published as a chapbook by above/ground press and launched as part of their 33rd anniversary celebration in Ottawa on August 22, 2026.
