Gatha for the Evening Bell furthers Goldstein’s transtranslational investigations, this time through the works of two hermit poets: Ryōkan Taigu (1758–1831), a Japanese Sōtō Zen Buddhist monk, and Hanshan (Cold Mountain) a monk-recluse who lived in the late- eighth to early-ninth century AD, in the sacred T'ien-t'ai Mountains of Chekiang, China.
Privately printed and bound at the Beautiful Outlaw press in early 2016, this limited edition is currently unavailable for purchase.
